Quick report
Snowing hard all day with 6-12” of new snow increasing with elevation. Wind seemed primarily from the south and quickly filled in the skin track in exposed areas. Some cracking on the skin track but no widespread propagation. Stuck to moderate angle treed slopes. Ski quality was good with heavy powder. Below 4500’ snow was still soft but quite heavy and sticky. Storm snow seemed right side up.
Avalanche
One storm slab triggered with a ski cut on a convex rollover on north aspect around 5500’. About 30 feet wide, crown about 6”. Slide did not run far, only about 30-40 feet
