Made it up to about 100 feet under pineapple basin before deciding descend the big trees area of Alpental valley. Snow is showing signs of consolidation since the rain and colder temps, snow above the source lake to the top of big trees has a strong crust since freezing earlier this week. Turns coming down big trees were taken cautiously as the snow was very heavy. Skiing was not great. The slush near the bottom was the best to ski.
