Quick report
Skied E-SE-S-SW, 8100-9400', to 35*, no wind-loaded terrain. Weather: PC to OBSC and flurries, but no new snow accumulation from noon-3PM. Cool temps - solars did not take heat. Gusty light, and decreasing, winds where we traveled. Wind loading: There was previous and active (around noon) cross loading from NWish winds in the Boulder foothills, and 1 tiny natural, but none of those new wind features looked big enough to cause problems at low elevations. Winds diminished and were not moving snow there at 3 PM. We did not see any freshly wind-loaded slopes on the pass where we traveled. Snowpack and stability: We didn't dig any formal snowpits or perform any stability tests. Many hand pits with non-standard puahing and pulling on the 30-50cm of settled storm snow did not produce any clean shears in the upper 60cm/2 feet.
