Party of 5 skiing north facing aspect south of Warspite lake. On uptrack at approx 2100m in bowl below cliff face at treeline. On hearing whumping in snowpack stopped upward movement. Party skiied one at a time to small grove of trees at slightly lower elevation. When the last member of the party (5th person) skiied diagonally towards grove of trees he heard a whump in snowpack and on arrival at trees observed avalanche movement in snow. Lowest member of party (3rd to cross slope)not involved in avalanche, 2 members at tree grove (1st and 2nd to cross slope) managed to stay on surface by grabbing trees, of these two one was partially buried (feet only). 5th member of party who was last to cross slope was knocked off feet on arrival at trees and deployed airbag he was transported approx 10 meters and partially buried up to knees. 4th member of party to cross slope was slightly lower than rest just below grove of trees, this member was carried approx 50 meters down the slope and completely buried with just face exposed and able to breath after clearing face, this member also deployed airbag and was stopped by small spruce trees. Buried member was located and dug out within 5 minutes of avalanche. No injuries other than bruising to buried member of party. Buried member was unable to recover his skis and walked out. It appears that crown was located approx 100 meters above location in snowpack from trigger point where whumph was heard by last member crossing slope to grove of trees.
