Quick report
We headed up the bootpack in left gully around noon, noticing that the snow was very soft (mashed potatoes at the bottom of the gully, corn snow at the top) and had received a lot of sun exposure. We knew there was a risk of loose wet slides from the conditions and reports of small slides the day before on hillmans and lobster claw. A large number of people were also going up the gully at that time and skiing down, probably contributing to the risk. We didn't see the trigger point but we watched the slide go by in the bootpack for a minute or two before it settled. No one was caught and we successfully finished hiking up and rode down the gully with a bit of sluff but most of the snow staying in place.
Avalanche
Loose wet avalanche observed in Left Gully from an unknown start point, that ran almost the length of the gully and fanned in size from a few feet across to about half the width of the gully. No one was caught in it, although it looked large enough to carry a person but probably not bury them. Would probably describe as R1, 1.5, D1. Likely human triggered.
