Hero Knob Traverse

Today we elected to do the Hero Knob traverse. Snow quality was decent but storm snow is sitting on top of a noticeable crust. This produced sluffing results on ski cutting upon descent on a steep western aspect. One woomf was observed in a shallower rocky area on a North aspect, so triggering the DPL is something to watch out for in shallow snowpack. Overall, I'd say stability is decent but touchy in specific, localized areas.
