Today we elected to do the Hero Knob traverse. Snow quality was decent but storm snow is sitting on top of a noticeable crust. This produced sluffing results on ski cutting upon descent on a steep western aspect. One woomf was observed in a shallower rocky area on a North aspect, so triggering the DPL is something to watch out for in shallow snowpack. Overall, I'd say stability is decent but touchy in specific, localized areas. On our ascent we did a compression test, results below: HS: 190cm Slope: 33 degrees Aspect: North Elevation: 2075m Air Temp: (-17) Celsius Boot Pen: 35cm Ski Pen: 20cm Result: CT-N
