Ice climbing - Living in Paradise

Climbed Living in Paradise yesterday (Saturday, 30th Jan). • Good track is still in most of the way but there was 10-30cm of fresh wind blown snow on sections of upper slopes. • Compact stable snow and neve on the lower pitches (Totem Pole up to the big bowl below LIP/Suntori). • Found some hollow sections below the slab whilst descending the upper bowls, no whoomfing or cracking observed but it was still nerve wracking! • Spindrift coming off the top of final pitch, light alpine winds mostly all day. -14@6am -5@11pm Ps. detached pillar on the final pitch goes!
