Yoho glades

Started the day at 10am at - 2 up the Hamilton lake trail. Lights winds below treeline til about 2200m. Winds were strong from the SW. Snow was punchy cold wind press that skied slow and terribly until lower down in the trees. A few shooting cracks from soft wind slabs on unsupported features or steep convex rolls. Got snagged by tight bush and pushed into the lower avy path on our descent of the glades. we stayed on the far skiers right side of the trim and made a quick descent. Skied the lower Christmas trees on our descent. A whole mess of snow shoers around the base and at the lake. People out enjoying the snow for the holidays.
