Gargoyles conditions

The sun was only out in the first part of the morning when overcast skies rolled in. This kept the warming at bay. On East facing steep slopes off of Columnar peak we observed multiple debris from wet slabs to size 1.5 (probably from the rain event?). South facing col between Columnar and the Gargoyles had breakable crust but stayed cold due to cloud coverage. Skiing was not the best but good to see the warming wasn't as bad as predicted. Skiers coming back from the High Neve reported thick crust on North aspects and Garibaldi's face.
