Quick Observation

Skinable from the valley. Saturday 18th HST ~100-120cm from 1600m up- quick handpits revealed this to be mainly recent storm snow ontop of dirt or bonded to a thin basal MF layer. Wind transport from the south had scoured ridge tops almost bare. Skied a loaded north east aspect at 1900 with no signs of instability throughout the day. Skiing was good, coverage adequate with a right-side up pack before this latest storm.
