Chickadee dust on crust

Fun little day on the first slide path in Chickadee (on the Boom side). -10°C at 1647m in the morning at 1011hrs, rapidly rose to -2.8°C by 1256hrs at 1900m, pinwheeling & little tree bombs observed. 10cm of storm snow, was light powder until the sun roasted it. 20March crust was over 20cm thick on the solar aspects we rode, HS 50cm. We did not observe any avalanches in the area, but debris fields from the last avalanche cycle were evident.
