Quick Observation
Skied the French-Haig-Robertson traverse, fair amount of traffic on the route, ~15 people did it today. Good travel conditions. Probed 150-200cm on the French glacier, and 250-300+cm on the Haig. Didn't get HS on the Robertson because we were too busy enjoying the skiing, no crevasse issues noted on the West side of the Robertson, but there is wind slab and some cornice to navigate on the north side of the col dropping into Robertson glacier, good skiing once you're past that. Observed lots of avalanche debris from steep solar aspects, as well as the crown of a large size 2 off the NE face of Mt Robertson, and a sz 1 Na windslab off of the NE side of Mt Sir Douglas close to Robertson-Douglas col. Light to moderate winds and blowing snow in the alpine. Had a look at Hole in the Wall couloir, but decided not to ski it due to avy risk, and bad coverage on the lower portion of the line. Saw some parties skiing the North side of Haig ridge, ski quality looked great.
