Spring has arrived on East Helena Ridge

Very warm conditions - the snow was sticking to the bottom of our skins on the way up making travel quite difficult. Whumpf heard above tree line, while on some wind-loaded terrain. Picture is of an avalanche that occurred while we were out, on a solar aspect, likely starting at the rocks above. Overall, ski quality wasn’t great as there was only about a 200 m elevation band where snow coverage was decent, though the snow was dense and moist. The Rockbound Lake Trail had sections of ice, and exposed rocks/trail.
