Southwest aspect on route to Mt. Crowe, with 110 cm snow depth. At 1987m in elevation with a 26 degree slope we completed an extended column test, with an easy result at 22cm and a moderate result at 80cm. Both of which were sudden planar results. The bottom 15cm of the snow pack was depth hoar and the rest of the snow pack was unaffected by the warming. There were moderate to strong southerly winds in the area, with an air temperature of -2 degrees Celsius. It was mostly sunny with partial cloud cover.
