Wolf Ridge, Kootenay Pass

Dry deep powder conditions. Shooting cracks and several dry sluff slides less than category 1 below tree line and at treeline. Most were remotely triggered uptracking. Some slides were set off as ski cuts while uptracking. 1 slide was a category 1.0 and buried a skier waste deep while uptracking. Conditions were very touchy and we modified our plans accordingly. In our opinion, Avalanche conditions were extreme at all elevations. Wind slabs and poor bounding of storm slab made for dangerous conditions.
