Quick report
I got out early this morning to check out the new snow. Up high in wind sheltered basins there is a foot of new light powder. In wind exposed areas the new snow is a little as a few inches. There was a mixed bag of surfaces out there. With the recent warm temps and sun there is a hard surface below much of the new snow. This excludes steep north facing terrain which continues to maintain excellent riding and turning conditions. On top of Hoyt Peak this morning I was only able to get small sluffs to run. To my surprise, even with all the wind yesterday, there were no significant drifts or cornices to be found.
