Snowpack

Pit dug on SE Bowl of Mount Blackmore. 9900, SE aspect, 30 degrees. ECTN1 @ approximately 7 inches, ECTN16 at approximately 1 foot. First initiation appeared from 6 inches of wind affected snow on top of newly faceted surface hoar. Snow hardness between initiations appeared to be 1F/P, most likely due to sun affected snow from prior weeks. Snowpack below second initiation (2') was 4F hard. Base below was filled with facets, no reactions to ECT.
