Quick report
Super quick look at the snowpack at 9000' on Sawtell Peak. 28 inches of snow isn't bad considering how dry and warm it's been .
Unfortunately the dry & warm weather didn't prevent facets from forming in the snowpack. They don't exist at low elevations, but there isn't really a snowpack at low elevations. For now there just isn't much of a slab in place yet. As more snow comes, that slab will. build and conditions will certainly become more dangerous before they improve.
Weather
Very strong winds ripping at all elevations
