Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
We toured in the southern whitefish range to dig into our Persistent Slab problem.
- Rain at 4500 feet. Mixed precipitation around 5000 feet. Snow above 5500 feet.
- On southern aspects, at 5820 and 6500 feet, we found a structure of our Persistent Slab problem: facets above the 12/22 crust.
- On northern aspects, at 6800 feet, the 12/22 crust was less defined, with more uniform density within the snowpack.
- Key takeaway: the distribution of the Persistent Slab problem structure was more apparent on southerly aspects (SW, S, SE).
