Quick report
Cold, clear and calm today. Lapped Main Bowl enjoyably and uneventfully on cold, dry, surface hoar and near-surface facets. We encountered two other parties, including frequent obber Big Ripper. With F- loose snow in the upper snowpack, we had no notable results in hand shears and pole tests. Melt freeze crust about 50cm down was consistent and we had a few tiny dry loose sluffs in steeper terrain on this boundary. The most notable observation of the day was the glide avalanche on the sunny side of Seattle ridge in the middle of dozens of tracks (see below).

Watched a glide crack release at exactly 1533 on our exit from the field. We had descended the sparse alders lookers left, one at a time, roughly 10 minutes prior and watched this from the outtrack, about 100' from the road. Of note, we saw no indication of an existing glide crack on the uptrack (lookers right of the photo) or while descending to the lookers left of the slide.
