Constant whumping breaking trail up Center Ridge valley, including while skinning on loose snow avalanche debris on an avalanche cone, numerous shallow crown faces became clear in the Library when the sun hit it, not a day to be on extended steep slopes. On the valley bottom the ice crust was collapsing beneath 8 inches of new snow, higher up the collapsing layer was a stiff layer of facets, maybe the decayed ice crust. In some places the new snow was on top of bottomless sugar and not cohered into a slab, on steep rollovers all 8 inches tended to slide out from under one's skis.
Avalanche
Remote triggered a tiny avalanche from skin track (see photo) I've probably caused bigger avalanches clearing my windshield but bullseye clue that the snowpack is unstable.
