Instability Comment
<p>Poor structure observed under recent storm snow falls. Faceted snow in pit was wet and rounding. Very weak faceted snow in mid elevation sun protected north facing slopes. </p> <p> </p> <p>Note: Pit profile below was on a sub ridge with potentially higher impact from sun and ambient air temperature exhibiting a more wet/round facet structure..</p> <p>New snow fall (graupel) and light wind were potential factors for new wind loading or graupel loading in aprons under steep terrain. Keep an eye on this for potential new weak layer with additional new snow.</p>
