Quick report
No new avalanches observed today. Folks skiing Juniors and a couple tracks on Repeat Offender w/o incident. New crop of surface hoar and near surface facets forming on the surface today in the 2,000-2,500' range. Wet loose/ roller balls on the Sunny side, repeat offender path. We poked into the crown of the main bowl avalanche that was (remote?) triggered yesterday, just lookers right of the Main bowl uptrack. Avalanche ran on Feb.14 buried surface hoar, down 85cm. Crown was 2-4' deep. ECTP20 on BSH. The crown was right at 33 degrees but there were cracks present above the crown on a 22 degree slope. Some surface roller ball activity later in the afternoon on repeat offender, sunny side.

Feeling like Spring! Sun has some warmth to it, winds were calm to non-existant today.
Snowpack
We dug 2 pits today to try and suss out the buried surface hoar distribution on Seattle ridge. #1: Main Bowl, 2,300', NW aspect, 34 degree slope, ECTP20 down 85cm on buried surface hoar. (This pit was at crown of yesterday's avalanche). #2: Seattle Ridge, 2,860', S aspect, 16 degree slope, ECTX; PST 85/100. Buried surface hoar was present and intact down 35cm. We were surprised this was unreactive in our tests. Significantly shallower storm snow on the south side of Seattle ridge compared to Main bowl/ Juniors area. BSH was 85cm in Main bowl and 35cm on S. side of Seattle Ridge.
