Quick report
If you think to try riding the backcountry around cherry peak resort, don't. Unless you like steep and rocky technical accents. There is no shortage of gnarly. I'm not even sure if they want you to hike the resort. The creek trail is open to the public with enough cover to snow shoe, a bit gnarly to ski down. Can't see why you would want to ski up on bad days several avalanche paths hang from the canyon walls.
It was snowing at 3pm today at the resort.
