Observed rain crust below 8000ft in non-sheltered terrain. The crust layer was being influenced by heavy wind drifting, forming heavy dense snow on the 1/2 cm crust layer in open meadows and glades. Should make for interesting conditions with warming temperatures and heavy snow fall.

<p>High wind gusts (40s) transporting snow. Drifting heavy, wet snow or gropple. Some sensitive soft drifts in the AM, but by noon snow below 7500ft was heavy.</p>
