Intermittent snow showers, heavy at up to 1" per hour at times today between 0900-1400. Winds were generally light out of the northwest.
Snowpack
New snow amounts were roughly in the 20cm/8" range. Snow was falling throughout the morning. Snow surfaces were largely not impacted by the wind (fist hardness) up to 10,000 foot exposed ridgelines.
No obvious signs of instability observed, but visibility was poor.
A snowpit at 9400 feet on a SE aspect revelaed the christmas crust down 50cm. Test results showed propagation potential down 35cm on a disctinct harndess change (ECTP 13, ECTP 14). No other results in the pit.
