Went up to silver lake peak to ski the south East face today. After skiing one lap from the summit we had some great creamy turns, didn't expierence any signs of instability, and went back up for more. On our second lap we planned on skiing directly next to our previous tracks which was just to the west of our first run- and had a slightly more south East facing aspect. The first skier in our group skied down and after about 10 turns heard a loud noise, looked back to see the avalanche, and was able to straight line down to a zone of safety. We skied the debris down, regrouped, and called it a day. Very thankful to all go home safe and sound today.
