Quick report
Rec tour on several steep southwest facing slopes near treeline to avoid the most problematic aspects. No signs of instability and no alarming pit results. The only prominent crust where we traveled was the Christmas crust near the ground, with anywhere from 80 to 20 cm above it, depending on recent and previous wind drifting patterns. Most often, slabs thinned as we gained elevation into more previously wind-eroded terrain. The most recent storm snow saw minimal erosion and some crossloading. I did find small-grained, rounding facets above the Christmas crust, and wouldn't rule out the potential to trigger a persistent slab on this aspect if you found a slope with the right ingredients of cross-drifted slab and preserved melt-layer facets.

Numerous small storm slabs and wind slabs (D1) that ran the past two days. Heard someone on our radio channel say they pulled out a "huge pocket above them", later found out it was a snowmobile triggered persistent slab in Baxter Basin.
