Quick report
Minimal wind along the ridge and temps below freezing today. Variable and shallow conditions with various crust/facet combos depending on aspects and exposure to wind/sun. No signs of instability observed today aside from the older cornice collapse avalanche at Deadman Pass.
Avalanche
While touring along San Joaquin Ridge noticed a previous cornice collapse at Deadman Pass which triggered an avalanche that ran ~600’. Occurred 10,000ft on NE aspect and looks like about 12-16” deep. Not sure when this occurred.
