Quick report
We headed out on April 23 at 11:30am on Robinson Creek trail towards Barney Lake from Mono Village via snowshoe. About 1.5 miles in there was evidence of a very large avalanche, appeared to be fairly recent, with dozens of large trees toppled. The trail was impassable as the snow was 10-20 feet high from the avalanche surge. We turned around and returned to Mono Village.
