Quick report
I took a short snowmobile tour up Leavitt Lake Road to see how the front end of the storm was arriving. I ran into some MWTC staff at Leavitt Lake and they told me snow and wind first started to arrive at 1100 in the morning. I kept our chat brief as gusty winds and blowing snow made for unpleasant conditions. My time at Leavitt Lake was short, blowing snow and gusty winds made for white out conditions to periodically arrive in the lake basin. Only a few inches of snow had fallen but wind drifts were already forming on the road and in other sheltered locations. As I made my exit from the field the skies opened up only for a moment to get views at ridgelines above 11,000ft.
