Avalanche: Reynolds Peak

Remotely triggered this avalanche walking up the ridge line to Reynolds Peak. Before this we had been triggering long running sluffs but not seeing any propagation or cracking in the light density new snow. By the time we were walking up Reynolds the light density snow had been caped of with smaller grained ice pellets, or maybe a fragile rime crust and the snow was more winded creating a more cohesive slab. We initiated shooting cracks that traveled a hundred feet up the ridge line and triggered a slide on the E face of Reynolds running to the flatter terrain, 150ft wide. It seemed like the slide was initiated on facets under the new snow then immediately steeped down to the slick rain/rime crust.
