WInd slab avalanche at ridge line in upper elevation leeward terrain. Multiple skiers caught and carried while switchbacking uphill at the top of Banana Couloir. The Avalanche did not step down to the Jan 4 layer and only involved the most recent storm snow. Slope fractured above us approximately 100 ft and ran downhill 1800'. Most were able to self arrest, one skier required helicopter evacuation after being carried 1500ft down slope. Nobody was buried or required excavation from below the debris.
