@ 11:10 Elevation: 9,270 ft Aspect: 305 Degree slope Angle: 21 Degrees HS = 99cm Rain crust ~22 cm down MF crust ~26 cm down with F between the crust layers CT 22 @20 cm down ECTN22 @ 20 cm down *It looked like the fracture initated right above the crust closest to the surface for both the CT and ECT. Two other pits were dug by students in nearby terrain and they received similar results as well. We skied Horseshoe Gulley and Horseshoe Trees for our second lap. No cracking or whumping noted on the tour. Snowfall was between S1 to S2 with Moderate winds By ~ 13:00 ~ 5 to 7cm of new snow was noted on the surface crust on the ridge.
