We went down to Provo for the AR event and expected the NE chute of Elk Point to natural while we were down there. No luck; only noted the wet loose in Theater of the Pines . Seemed like good avalanche weather. UDOT Provo canyon had good results from their gun mission with Slide Canyon producing good avalanches, with Slide Canyon crossing the road.
Travel was from Aspen Grove up the Alpine Loop toward Timp Divide...through the Aspens to well below the runouts of the UFO Bowls and back to the truck.
Update: The NE Chute of Elk Point naturalled at 5pm. (this is a 3500' slide path that runs into Primrose Cirque, just up from Aspen Grove).
Snowpack
The Pacific NW (or Sierra) called. They want their weather back.
