Japan was slab city; shooting cracks and super wind loaded slopes. All tests caused slabs/shooting cracks under minimal pressure. Softer wind affected snow on top, shear point about 10cm down, 10cm below that was another weak layer over a hard crust sitting about 20cm below surface; stayed off all open slopes and instead rode dense trees above beaver pond. Alpie slopes were a no go; south west gulch had a large slide already trigger that morning and a smaller one in the gully below green hill, photos for reference.
