Skinned up to lookers left finger to the merging point of the two southern fingers. Once under the cover of the line of trees above us, we started removing skins and transitioning for the descent. Another group of four came up to join us. Just as they arrived at the protected spot, a noteworthy slide came down the finger furthest south, past us, and coned out about 15 metres below us. The dog "Bella" who accompanied the second party was right in the path of the slide and temporarily disappeared under the light density slide and resulting powder cloud. A few seconds after the dust settled, her head popped out of the sluff pile and she managed to wiggle herself free and came up to join us below the strand of thick trees which separated the two slide paths. Skiing was excellent with a light density 5cm of slightly slabbing fresh snow over as much as 30 cm of loose cold fluff. Under that, it was still possible to feel the harder old snowbed from the past period of melt/freeze.
