We skied Begbie Shoulder so you don't have time

We went up Begbie Shoulder from the highway. There was an ice crust until about 900m. From there to 1,200m, the snow was quite heavy, but it got better and better as we go higher. As we neared the top, trail breaking was more than knee deep. We dug a quick pit at about 1,800m. Snowpack was 260cm deep. We only dug down a metre so can't speak to what's going on beneath the latest storm snow, but did get a sudden collapse after 12 taps. We didn't notice any other signs of stability and saw no natural activity other than some sluffing caused by tree bombs. Skiing was incredibly up high, pretty good until 1,200m, and terrifying once we hit the ice crust. We exited via the sled road to make life a little easier. I wouldn't go back there without a sled.
