Balu Pass

Cold day out at balu pass. North facing Terrain above 1900m has been wind affected leaving a 10cm+ wind skin at the near the top of balu pass that made for tricky skiing and some small wind lenses to pop while on slope. Below the wind effect and particularly in sheltered areas great skiing still to be found.

Group of six touring up towards Nikki's Notch area look to have triggered a wind slab. All six members were visually located while group spent a prolonged amount of time on debris field. Presumably looking for some lost gear potentially. Did not appear to have any members buried but likely went for a small ride, no injuries apparent.
