Quick Observation

Crow foot AST 1 yesterday went very well. Great snow, weather and perfect temps promoting good stability. Check out Snow pack report and avalanche report for further observations.

Avalanche Information

AST 1 yesterday say signs of instability across the valley on a nearby slope on Steep Solar aspect. The Green Slide area had a recent slab that had come out in recent days. Regular producing open slope. The slide was small and near the top of the start zone in a area at Treeline or Below that is an obvious slide path.

Snowpack

Varying results from sledders doing there first CT ranging from CTE8 to CTM 13. But yet still very similar results on 20 degree slope. Resistant planner results on solar crust mixed with grapel/hail dn 35cm. This goes to show the bonding between the crust and storm snow is slow to settle. Caution if temps climb and this storm snow becomes heavy on the surface or as you transition into steeper terrain.
