Avalanche Information
Natural avalanches in the area were isolated in distribution. The avalanche activity I observed was wet loose avalanches, and some gougled through the snowpack, entraining more snow as they ran.
Weather
Clear sky, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. Winds increased in the afternoon. cloud cover: scattered; wind loading: none; recent snowfall (cm): 0; snow avail for transport: none
Snowpack
The ice lens is extensive across much of Mt Axtell and AMR on northerly facing slopes. The February crusts seem to be really limiting wet avalanche activity where they exist. Mid- to low-elevation easterly and southeasterly-facing slopes looked like a hot, wet mess. I suspect westerly aspects were similar. .
