Day one on ice!
Long Range Mountains
andrewbudstokes , Tuesday 4th February, 2025 2:15PM
Snow depth in protected areas in the Humber Valley around 70-100cm. Low density wallowing, even with snowshoes. Wind affected areas are either scoured or forming deep drifts, wind slabs, and cornices. Variable weather all day ranging from sunny breaks to intense snow squalls. Good ice at the Marble Ice Flows and the absence of avalanche terrain made it a perfect objective for the day!
