<p>It was busy at hermit meadows today: 2 groups were heading up Rogers, 1 group to Swiss and 3 groups were planning to ski Lone Pine.
Sunny day, good visibility for most of the day, moderate wind (S) at ridge line, otherwise calm wind.
We skinned from Hermit parking to 2400m on powder, above 2400m it was wind affected. There was enough snow to skin on Tupper’s ridge. No signs of instability on the way up. We skied down on 20-30cm of powder until around 1600m (at the junction of Lone Pine) where we started to feel the avalanche debris. There was considerable sluff as we were going down.
