It's cold... and windy above 1500m

With cold temperatures at the highway (-26) we stayed pretty close to home, and sledded into the Big Y. Lower in the valley riding conditions were holding on, but up higher (around 1500m) the north wind had made a mess of the place. Sastrugi and cold enough wind that we turned back to ride the better snow lower down. We dug a pit and probed around but the story is generally the same everywhere in the white pass. 10-20 cm of snow above the strong crust layer. With about 100-180cm of total snow in most places.
