Quick Observation
Great conditions on Forum today. Soft snow and moderate winds. Later in the afternoon tracks would slough in (mini slabs <2m) up to 6-8cm deep.
Weather
Sun poking through in the a.m. and light flurries starting around 14:00. Little total accumulation. -13°C and 15 km/h winds at ridge top around 13:00. Enough wind to transport significant snow during gusts.
Snowpack
Snow depth ranged from 70cm-125cm. Soft on top, but not deep. Enough snow to avoid most (MOST) stumps and hazards. Any hoar frost building in this cold has presumably been knocked down by wind.
