Climbed the first 3 pitches of Man Yoga today. Great climbing, if more heady than expected. Saw many avalanches - see Avalanche report for details. Below the climbs, the snow appeared stable, with 3-5cm of loose surface snow on a thick, supportive crust.
Observed one notable avalanche at 1106 - a size 3 came over the gully climbers left of the climb Acid Howl/Stairs and Flowers. A cornice failed, likely as direct sun came onto it in the morning, triggering a slab in a small bowl at the top of the headwall. At the base, no slabs were triggered but loose surface snow was entrained and debris ran to treeline. Over the day, we observed many small size 0.5-1.5 loose dry slides, mostly from the NW eve of the wall but some over the middle of the headwall.
