Quick report
On most aspects snow was a firm crust but that gave way to areas with unconsolidated slide prone wet snow with the slightest change of aspect in a slope, including on the slope that slid. Didn’t see any active rollerball formation, but did kick off a large roller ball with ski immediately prior to avalanche
Avalanche
Triggered a small D1 wet loose on a steep spine. Cut right and turned off of the spine to exit onto less steep slope (Martha’s, <45 deg) which immediately triggered a large, D2 wet loose avalanche that ran full length of slope Northern aspect just before 11am. The D2 slide had a refrigerator sized roller ball at the bottom. Slide broke at feet, nobody caught
