Quick report
Variable snow pack. Supportive crust in pre-dawn period made travel easy. Once sun exposed travel was extremely challenging on foot. Post holing to knee consistently. Crevasses on Coleman few, easy to avoid. Saw many open crevasses on Easton. Extremely busy day with hundreds of climbers and skiers.
Avalanche
On Colfax and surrounding aspects. Baker West aspect. Saw debris from a skier triggered size 3 with 1m crown. Other naturals, size 1-2 from solar warming. Also easily triggering size 0.5 to 1 wet loose from foot travel on slopes surrounding Hogs Back camping area.
