With the intention to check out the trees off the north side of Catherine we experienced woomfing in the flats and as we ascended in the trees. There are two clear crusts in the recent snowpack. Dug a put and found sugary snow in intact below the Jan crust. Travel was extremely challenging and we opted for Hyak laps.
