Hard crust on the upper under the new storm snow, and somewhat wet form crust at the interface down low. Occasional rounds of graupel fell during the day.
Avalanche
I triggered a storm slab (R1) inbounds at Alpental on Friday on the upper mountain. Snow was drifted into a deeper trough in a narrow chute, and it cracked/folded under me as I skied through it. The slab was about 10-15ft wide and ran 60-70ft.
